Australian Reality TV Star Belinda “Love” Rygier Opens Up About Sleeping With 700 Men and Battling Sex Addiction
Former Bachelor Australia contestant Belinda “Love” Rygier has gone viral after admitting she once slept with more than 700 men before confronting her sex addiction. The 38-year-old reality TV star, who appeared on The Bachelor Australia in 2017, revealed that during her struggles, she would go out looking for sex up to six nights a week.
Belinda shared her story publicly as part of her recovery journey, explaining that opening up about her past was a major step in overcoming her addiction. Speaking on the You’re a Grub Mate! radio show in 2022, she revealed that she has been in recovery for eight years and had remained celibate for 15 months.
“I didn’t know I had the problem until I healed it. The issue was with my relationships, and I kept attracting toxic men,” Belinda explained. “When I recovered, I realized unhealed trauma from my past was driving my sex addiction. It ruled my life, but I was a functioning addict — I had a great career, and no one would have known.”
While many people would find the idea of openly sharing such a high body count unusual, Belinda insists she is “not ashamed” of her past. She admitted that for her, sex wasn’t just about physical pleasure but about seeking validation, love, and self-worth.
“Men were very good at telling me what I wanted to hear. It wasn’t just about the sex — it was about feeling beautiful, validated, and loved,” she said.
Now a relationship guru, Belinda has embraced celibacy and believes that society is misusing sex for quick validation instead of deeper connection.
“Society has declined, and people are using sex for the wrong reasons — for quick validation or just a moment,” she shared. “I will have sex again, but only with someone I share a genuine connection with.
