A small mountain community in northern Italy is in mourning after the sudden and heartbreaking death of 15-year-old figure skating prodigy Matilda Ferrari, who was killed in a horrific accident on Monday morning while on her way to school.
According to reports, the teenager was crossing State Road 239 near her home in Trentino when she was struck by a cement truck. Witnesses say Matilda had been walking toward the bus stop, as she did every morning, when the incident occurred.
